CVHRDC Identifies Priority Goals in the Health Sector for 2023

Cauayan City, Isabela – The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region 02 through Cagayan Valley Health and Development Consortium (CVHRDC) and Philippine Council Health Research and Development Consortium (PCHRDC) conducted a two-day Operation Planning Workshop on February 1-2, 2023.

The operational planning was conducted for the committee to have an in-depth understanding and key direction of CVHRD’s operation in 2023. This was also established in response to persistent clamors of people of region 02 to localize solutions to health problems, through Research and Development (R&D).

DOST Region 02 Regional Director Dr. Virginia G. Bilgera, welcomed the participants and encouraged them to learn more about ways in which they collaborate, innovate, serve and understand the problem of the health sector.

“Let us redefine our approach and start recalibrating our priority goals to ensure that everyone everywhere is able to enjoy the highest attainable standard of health,” she highlighted.

“Think further, the opportunities are already in our table to bring high quality and specialized care to everyone,” she added

Meanwhile, the participants presented their operational plans on its second day which comprises various committees such as the Governing Board, Capacity Building Committee, Research Ethics Committee, Research Management Committee, Research Utilization Committee and Structure Organization Monitoring and Evaluation Committee.

The said workshop was attended by CVHRDC officials headed by Executive Director Julius T. Capili which he presented the Accomplishment Report for the year 2022 followed by the Monitoring and Evaluation reported by the Regional Program Officer of DOST-PCHRD-Institution Development Division, among others.
